We found some great old primitive dough scrapers which were used for removing what remained of dough from the surface of cutting or bread boards. These are forged iron and very collectible. They are getting very rare and hard to find.

We don't find old wooden washtubs like this very often. Hard to believe they really washed clothes in one of these. Have things changed or what!!!!

We went shopping over the long weekend and among the things we found was this great old wooden dough bowl. This one has been around for a very long time and is a great example of how folks of yesteryear kept using items they loved long after we, today, would. This old fella has 4 repairs of splits that have started in from the outer rim. You can see the great paint and great interior surface which makes this one of the best bowls we have ever had.
Hope you can stop by Saturday and see what else we got. Not all is out, but we are working hard to get it all cataloged. Call if you have questions. Hope we see you Saturday. We are open 10-5

We should all thank our brave military men and women in the service of our great land who serve in 150 countries throughout the world for their sacrifice, bravery and their dedication to the service of this country. They pay the cost of our freedom and some pay the ultimate sacrifice. We thank them for all they do.

We found this photo after a photographer had come to take pictures for a magazine. It is a simple group of primitive items that shows you can make something out of not very much. You may recognize this from visiting our store last Fall. Let me know what you think.

We are honored to have been selected for a Feature Story in the new issue of A Primitive Place Magazine.
We are excited to be a part of such a great magazine. We will have copies of it available soon.
